IC Symposium - September 26, 2025

On September 26, 2024, the Igniting Connections Symposium had over 200 educators and ECE professionals from across the New River Valley (NRV) area participating in workshops led by local educators and engaging with local early childhood education resources at vendor tables, with keynote speaker Dr. Jim Harris kicking off the day with his talk, "5 Things You Need to Know About Kids." At lunch, The Community Foundation of the New River Valley recognized extraordinary professionals working with young children and families from the NRV area through the 5th annual Early Childhood, which this year included a special Legacy Award.
