Support for Continuing Education

Whether you aspire to become an early childhood educator or are looking to continue your education, you may qualify for scholarships that help with tuition in Virginia.

Virginia Child Care Provider Scholarship Program (VCCPSP): The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) offers scholarships for current or future child care workers in Virginia working toward a certificate or associate degree in early childhood development at Virgina Community Colleges.

Virginia Early Childhood Foundation (VECF) - Project Pathfinders: A scholarship program designed to increase the skills of early childhood professionals in preschool and child care settings by accessing community college coursework and credentials. 

Virginia Child Care Provider Scholarship Program (VCCPSP): The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) offers scholarships for students attending a four-year college or university in Virginia if courses are comparable to approved community college courses in early care and education.

Virginia Early Childhood Foundation (VECF) - Project Pathfinders: A scholarship program designed to increase the skills of early childhood professionals in preschool and child care settings by accessing community college coursework and credentials. 

VAAEYC CDA Scholarships: Members of the Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children (VAAEC) can apply to be reimbursed 50% of the cost of the direct assessment credentialing fee or 50% of the renewal fee for a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.

Tuition Support Opportunity for Early Childhood Special Education Licensure: Radford University and the University of Lynchburg offer tuition support for teachers fulfilling requirements for their provisional Birth-5, Children with Disabilities license.

Clarene Vickery Scholarship: Members of VAAEYC pursuing leadership roles can apply for reimbursements of up to $250 to go towards leadership training in the form of workshops and college courses, and attending advocacy events and conferences.
